Joshua Tree Oasis

Located in the desert by Joshua Tree, this art museum brings a sense of light to the harsh desert landscape. In the vast desert, a glowing oasis reaches up into the sky. Visitors drive down a small road from Twenty Nine Palms Highway in their journey to the oasis, becoming abducted by the glowing oasis. When navigating the gallery spaces, visitors become elevated above the desert and look down on the ground from which they arose. The site also contains a restaurant for visitors as well as housing units for artists in residence.
